Joe is responsible for all campus recruiting activities in the Northeast Region and leads a team of 30 recruiters who attract the best and brightest students to our Advisory, Assurance, Tax and Transaction Advisory Services practices in 18 offices. Joe collaborates with region and service line leadership to understand the needs of EY’s growing business while building deep relationships with faculty and administrators at more than 50 colleges and universities in the region.
Joe joined EY in 1997 as an auditor in our Assurance practice, where he worked predominantly on financial services clients, specifically in the area of asset management. During his time as an auditor, Joe often participated in Talent initiatives, teaching training sessions and helping with EY’s recruiting activities in the Northeast. After obtaining his CPA license in 2000, he joined the Talent team as a full-time campus recruiter where his experience as an EY auditor uniquely prepared him to communicate with students about the benefits of a career with EY.
Over the past 16 years, Joe has cultivated a wide network of relationships in the Accounting and Human Resources industries and has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He is also a passionate advocate for the benefits of youth mentoring and has been actively involved with the Adlai E. Stevenson One-to-One mentoring program in New York City since 1999.
Joe earned his BS in Accounting from Binghamton University in 1996 and his MS in Human Resources from Fordham University in 2006. He resides with his wife, Cassie, and their two sons, Ryan and Daniel, in Baldwin, New York, where he coaches youth baseball, actively volunteers with his sons’ school PTA events and has been a class parent for the past four years.
